Testing

At Texmate, we believe that testing is an integral part of the manufacturing process. Thorough testing detects design flaws and manufacturing defects in the early stages, saving you time-consuming and costly repair work later on.
A Texmate test jig
Our engineering staff can develop customised test procedures to suit your needs, reducing your field failures and improving your overall reputation. We offer a full range of tests, from simple electrical testing right through to burn-in and ICT.

Testing doesn't have to involve significant outlays for capital equipment or add high costs to your product.

By sourcing our test jigs off-shore and providing you with our ICT tester at competitive rates, we can make testing a more feasible option for you.

Quality Control

At Texmate we promote a quality culture at every level throughout the company, and have developed a comprehensive approach to the management of quality issues. All staff complete mandatory ESD training, and work to IPC610C standard quality procedures.

Our QC processes cover everything that we do, from purchasing and product records through to PCB manufacturing and testing.

Our manufacturing quality processes happen at each significant phase of production, and the boards are labeled to ensure that the product has been through every QC stage. Our wide range of test procedures include:Quality checked and labelled PCB
  • Schematic and layout checks
  • Pre-production unit quality checklist of key inspection points
  • Screen printing precision checks using magnifying cameras
  • Component orientation and placement checks at SMT and TH phases
  • Solder condition checks for both SMT and wave
  • Extensive checking of the first output unit Against the sample standard
  • Complete assembly cosmetic checks
  • Final QC inspection
We strive for ongoing improvement, training and personal excellence so that we can continue to deliver quality electronic assemblies.
1 - Why is testing so important?
Although the demands on electronic manufacturers (in terms of features and functionality) are always on the increase, product life-cycles continue to shorten. Testing ensures that both yield and quality expectations are consistently met, saving you money and preventing loss of reputation.
2 - Won't it be expensive to test my product?
Not necessarily. At Texmate we source our test-jigs off shore and can provide you with genuinely competitive rates on the use of our ICT tester. PLUS, testing now is insurance for later: simple faults which are easily fixed at the prototype stage can cost thousands of dollars in engineering time if a flaw is detected after the product has been sold.

Tips
As your company grows it becomes essential to move the testing closer to the manufacturer.

Why not design your PCB's from the start to be compatible with ICT techniques?
